It’s almost Christmas! The month of December is an exciting one for me. There are so many fun things to do like attend Christmas tree lightings, decorate your house, visit Santa, and of course buy presents for all the people you love. In the midst of the season I wanted to share with you my favorite rawnola recipe for this time of the year. With only four ingredients it’s super simple and fast you only need a blender and there is no prep work involved. I don’t think it gets better than that do you? All you need is the ooiest gooiest dates you can find, rolled oats, a tiny piece of ginger, and a touch of cinnamon. I love eating this for breakfast right before I work out. The zing from the ginger and cinnamon do the trick to wake me up in the morning especially on the days when I don’t feel like getting out of bed, which has been the case lately. Especially with all this rain and the shorter days. Relaxing with a big mug of tea sound like a good idea all the time especially paired with this yummy rawnola. This isn’t just ideal in the mornings; it’s amazing as an afternoon snack or even for dessert. It’s sweet and completely satisfying. I love pairing this with fresh fruit and toasted coconut chips for that extra crunch. Because all the ingredients are full of fiber and other nutrients you can feel guiltless about eating it any time of the day.
½ cup oats
¼ inch ginger
pinch of cinnamon
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until it becomes fully combined and gooey.
